On Saturday we had a strong showing against QO, with the boys winning 109 - 73, and the girls winning in dominant fashion 138 - 47. Results are attached and also posted on https://mcps.swimtopia.com/results.

The girls won all 8 individual events and went 1-2 in all 3 relays. Congrats to our event winners ( Rachel x 2, Brianna, Felicia x2, Isabelle W, Anjali, and Shreya!). I was impressed by strong racing and fighting for lots of 2nd, 3rd and 4th place spots.

The boys were shorthanded this week, so winning required us to rely on younger team members to step up. We won 5/8 individual events, 2/3 relays, and Alek won the diving competition! Of our individual winners (Dennis x2, Zach, Aiden, and Justin), 4 were won by Freshman/Sophomores. Brayden, Noah O, Dylan W, and Clement are a few of the underclassmen who stepped up and played a big role in our victory. 

I was proud of how everyone competed, even those who were not feeling their best, rushing to and from other meets, or had just finished ACT testing. If we can continue to compete week in and week out, and pick up our teammates when they don't have their best performances, we can continue to string together dual meet wins and have a shot at the D2 title.

Week of 12/15

- Practice: Normal practice schedule this week. We will not practice next week (week of 12/22) or over Winter Break, so this will be our last practice week until January 6th/7th.

- Dineout Fundraiser (Flyer Attached): Tuesday, 12/16, Isaac's Poultry (12163 Darnestown Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878) from 5 - 9pm. After practice, come support our team and bring your family and friends.

- Meet: Saturday, 12/20 vs Damascus at GAC, 12pm. Please arrive at 11:30am.
