Wootton Swimming and Diving

Practice Requirements:

• USS Club Swimmers/Divers
  • Required to attend 1/2 practices offered each week.
• Non-Club Swimmers/Divers
  • Required to attend both practices offered each week.

• Failure to fulfill the practice requirement in a given week will result in exclusion from the meet lineup that week.
• Team members who consistently fail to meet this requirement will be removed from the team.

Meets:

• Team members will:

• Arrive at least 30 minutes early to all meets.
• Attend every meet throughout the season, regardless of whether they are competing.
• Stay for the entirety of the competition to support their teammates.

• With advanced approval, team members are allowed 1 excused absence from a team meet for the entire season. Excused absences include illness, SAT/ACT testing, or family emergency/other unavoidable reasons.
• Team members who miss more than 1 meet during the season will be ineligible for postseason competition and end of season awards (high point, varsity letter etc.).
• Repeated unexcused absences from meets will result in removal from the team.

General Guidelines:

• The use of phones and Airpods at practices and meets is not allowed.
• Team members who fail to adhere to this rule will be asked to leave the practice/meet
